Property acquisition records should distinguish rent billed from rent received, deposits from other receipts, and proposed closing credits from completed transfers. Reconcile the leases, rent roll, supporting records and actual transaction documents with qualified advisers. Keep unresolved amounts assigned to a responsible person. Business working-capital concepts can inform disciplined recordkeeping, but they do not replace property-specific legal, tax or closing requirements.
Transaction-specific professional review is required. No financing or closing outcome is guaranteed.
